It is the philosophy of Lifecycle Kids to provide high quality childcare in a nurturing, creative, healthy and enriching environment. With Lifecycle Kids, children are provided far more than babysitting. We are an extension to the school, offering a safe and encouraging environment for children to explore and learn through play. Children are offered opportunities to create artwork, develop science experiments, build towers, imagine new adventures, make music, play games, dress up, play outside and more. Our program is a wonderful complement to the structure of school, allowing children to continue learning through play and giving them a daily outlet for individual exploration and physical activity.

Our program will open at 6am and close at 6pm. All parents must escort their child to their classroom and check in with Lifecycle Kids staff when dropping their child off for care. Children who are arriving by bus after school will meet one of the Lifecycle Kids teachers and sign into the classroom.

Children are provided breakfast and afternoon snack through Lifecycle Kids. Families with children attending 4K will be required to provide lunch daily for their child while in care. On any no-school day, all children are required to bring their lunch. Lunches need to meet the USDA guidelines and not require any heating or refrigeration. Please send your child’s lunch in a labeled lunchbox to be stored in their bin or backpack.

All children age 5 and older must wear a mask while in our care. Additionally, all parents or others picking up children must wear a mask upon entering the building. Lifecycle Kids uses the second set of doors on the playground as our entrance. This is the only door, families utilizing our care should use both at drop off or at pick up. There is a buzzer system to the right of the doors to gain access to the facility.

School Age Children (K-5th Grade)

Before school, children will be provided the opportunity to eat breakfast and have time for free play. Some days, we will offer active play in the gym or outside before school and other days there will be indoor activities available. Children attending Mazomanie Elementary will be walked outside to meet their bus. Children attending Black Earth Elementary will be dismissed inside the building to go to their class in the morning.

After school, children will be offered a snack and have the choice of various stations such as arts and crafts, science and experiments, play acting or movie making, building and Legos, games and puzzles or reading in which to engage. Every day there will be active play opportunity, outdoors when the weather permits and indoors during inclement weather. Additionally, there will be opportunity for children to work on their homework after school. We do not provide tutoring but do have a period of time where children can work on their homework while in our care.

There will be limited access to electronics and only use them for additional learning opportunities and classroom activities. If your child is required to bring electronics for school, Lifecycle Kids will do our best to protect each child’s electronics, but we are not responsible for lost, stollen or broken items.

4K Program

As for our youngest group of students, the 4K children, we are extremely excited to provide activities to prepare them for Kindergarten. We will learn letters, numbers, our names, letter sounds, shapes, colors, sorting and so many other things. We will learn all topics through a thematic unit and through play as that is most developmentally appropriate.

We will escort the children to their school 4K classroom and pick them up to bring them back to our room.
